M/A-COM Unveils SiGe WLAN Power Amplifier

Model MAAP-008015 is a RoHS-complant 2.4-GHz three-stage linear power amplifier developed by M/A-COM for IEEE 802.11b/g multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) wireless-local-area-network (WLAN) applications requiring high gain and efficiency in a small package size. The amplifier provides +20 dBm linear output power at 2.4 GHz with error vector magnitude (EVM) performance of better than 3 percent. It offers typical linear gain of 31 dB while operating from a supply of +3.3 VDC. The amplifier, which is supplied in a 3-mm 12-lead PQFN plastic package, features an integrated power detector for accurate power control.
