Modules Smooth M2M Connections

April 28, 2014
These wireless modules bring wireless support to M2M applications for data rates to 1 Gb/s.

The MeshConnect EM358x line of Mini Modules is compatible with the firm’s earlier line of EM357 modules and well suited for wireless connections in machine-to-machine (M2M) applications, including for connected homes, industrial, and building automation use. The modules feature increased random access memory (RAM) compared to the earlier EM357 units, in support of ZigBee IPv6-based wireless networks. The modules also feature Universal-Serial-Bus (USB) capability to simplify computer interfaces. The M2M modules are certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and use the EmberZNet POR ZigBee PRO Stack from Silicon Labs. The modules are available with standard (+8 dBm) and long-range (+20 dBm) transmit capabilities.
