Armored Cables Strengthen Testing

Sept. 11, 2013
Armored test cables are built to handle hostile environments.

A line of armored test cables with SMA and Type-N connectors can handle the harsh environments often found around production test systems. Built for applications from DC to 20 GHz for the SMA connectors and DC to 18 GHz for the Type-N connectors, these rugged test cables from Pasternack Enterprises are built using PE-P142LL coaxial cable which is triple shielded with an expanded polytetraflouoroethylene (PTFE) dielectric material, for reliable low-loss performance. A robust mechanical connector/armoring interface and strain relief boot increases the overall durability and life of the test cable. The cables feature flexible but rugged stainless-steel armor for good RF/microwave signal integrity during testing. The cable assemblies are available in standard and metric lengths.
