SAW Filter Screens GPS

Dec. 19, 2014
A surface-mount SAW filter passes only GPS signals at 1575 MHz.
Model AM1575S361 is a surface-acoustic-wave (SAW) filter designed for use in Global Positioning Systems (GPS) at 1575 MHz. The filter offers a 20-MHz bandwidth at that center frequency (passband of 1565 to 1585 MHz) with insertion loss of just 0.9 dB and better than 14-dB return loss. The rejection of unwanted signals and interference is 10 dB at 1525 MHz and 22 dB at 1625 MHz. The filter, which is supplied in a surface-mount-technology (SMT) package format, measures 3.0 × 3.0 × 1.3 mm. It can handle +10 dBm input power.
