Termination Tackles High Power Levels

For test and other applications where high-power signals must be channeled, the new TERM-500W-14N+ coaxial termination from Mini-Circuits is designed for healthy power levels, with the capability of absorbing as much as 500 W CW power to 1 GHz. The Type N termination is specified for use from 700 MHz to 10 GHz but is usable from 500 MHz to 18 GHz.

The Type N termination is specified for use from 700 MHz to 10 GHz but is usable from 500 MHz to 18 GHz. It exhibits typical return loss of 17 dB at 700 MHz, 20 dB at 1 GHz, and 23 dB at 10 GHz. It can handle typical input power to 380 W at 700 MHz, 500 W to 1 GHz, 280 W to 4 GHz, and 175 W to 10 GHz. The rugged, RoHS-compliant termination measures 13.0 x 10.1 x 6.2 in. (330.20 x 256.54 x 157.48 mm). It requires 310 mA at +24 VDC and has an operating temperature range of -10 to +50{DEG}C. It is priced at $1295 each (1 to 9 qty.).
