Tiny Coupler Spans 2.3 To 2.7 GHz

Feb. 10, 2014
A 3-dB hybrid coupler handles 25-W power from 2.3 to 2.7 GHz.

The latest member of the Xinger® III family of passive components from Anaren, the model X3C25F1-03S 3-dB hybrid coupler, is now available from Richardson RFPD. This low-profile coupler measures just 3 × 5 mm but handles as much as 25 W power from 2.3 to 2.7 GHz. Ideal for cellular and WiMAX wireless applications, it provides 26-dB isolation with only 0.15-dB insertion loss across the frequency range. The typical VSWR is 1.12:1. The coupler exhibits a 90-deg. phase shift for 3-dB coupled signals, with excellent amplitude balance of ±0.3 dB.
