Phase Matrix

RSS

Phase Matrix, Inc.—a wholly owned subsidiary of National Instruments—designs and manufactures RF and microwave test and measurement instruments, subsystems, and components. The company was formed in 1999, when former employees of EIP Microwave (a longtime manufacturer of RF and microwave test and measurement instruments) purchased a substantial amount of EIP's assets. In addition to its new-product development, the company continues to support the large installed base of EIP products, such as continuous-wave and pulsed microwave counters and VXIbus synthesizers, counters, and downconverters.

In 2004, Phase Matrix expanded its product offering by forming a microwave components group. That group develops and manufactures a broad spectrum of RF and microwave components. Examples include wideband voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), digitally tuned oscillators (DTOs), and phase-locked oscillators. Phase Matrix formed a frequency synthesis group that produced the QuickSyn® technology in 2006.  In 2011, the firm was acquired by National Instruments.
