Software Suits Wireless Networks

Wireless component designers often lean on the help of design and optimization software. So they should not be surprised that developers of large and small wireless communications networks also rely on such software tools at the network/system level. The latest version of EDX Wireless’ SignalPro® software, Version 8.0, is one such tool. It allows network developers to explore the effects of broadband wireless access (BWA), backhaul deployments, and machine-to-machine (M2M) capabilities within their networks without first having to install the hardware.

“Version 8.0 of SignalPro has been designed with the needs of increasingly complex BWA, M2M, and backhaul deployments in mind,” says Mark Chapman, Chief Executive Officer of EDX. “Looking forward, we see this release as a critical step in supporting the automation of small-cell deployments as they emerge…we are pleased to be able to offer this level of wireless network analysis and design automation to our customers which will greatly simplify the design and optimization of large and integrated networks.” The software supports native 64-b operation and can be used for modeling small-cell systems as well as large-scale multipoint systems.
