Nexius Sees HetNet As LTE Solution

July 24, 2013
HetNet technology may provide the means of tying together the various wireless communications elements needed to make LTE cellular systems work.

Long Term Evolution (LTE) is clearly driving next-generation wireless communications, and some technology leaders feel that heterogeneous networks (HetNets) may provide the means to buttress the growth of LTE wireless communications. For example, earlier this year at the CTIA 2013 conference and exhibition at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV (May 21-23), Ned Taleb, Executive Chairman of Nexius Solutions, Inc., explained that companies wanting to remain competitive in aggressive wireless communications markets such as LTE must be prepared for faster paces in their technology developments.

In particular, Taleb pointed to HetNets in conjunction with small-cell developments as critical for success in LTE markets: “The daunting array of small cell considerations—from technologies to spectrum to architecture and beyond—can stall small cell programs at even the largest wireless operators. That’s why we’re redoubling our efforts in small cell services and solutions to ensure our customers can leverage our industry-leading experience in small cell and many other emerging technology areas.”
