Keithley Introduces USB DMM

Keithley Instruments has added a precision digital multimeter (DMM) that can send 38-PPM 6.5- digit measurements at 50 readings/s over the universal serial bus (USB). It can send 4.5-digit readings at 2000 readings/s to its internal memory. The DMM makes 11 different measurements, including voltage, current, resistance, and power. It provides selectable front and rear inputs plus two- and four-wire remote sense resistance inputs that facilitate use as both a stand-alone, benchtop DMM or in small systems applications. It includes a standard USB cable, power cord, safety measurement probes, and free utility software to ensure quick startup and a lower total cost of ownership. The DMM sells for $845.
