Keithley Launches Vector Signal Generator

Demonstrating their committment to RF/microwave measrements, Keithley Instruments has announced the model 2910 vector signal generator with a frequency range of 0.4 to 2.5 GHz and as much as 40 MHz instantaneous modulation bandwidth. Available in four configurations, with RF connectors on front or rear and in benchtop or rack-mount form, the instrument is based on a software-defined-radio (SDR) architecture for programmable flexibility. It features fast switching speed, with settling time of 1.5 ms to a new frequency, and the capability to switch between frequencies in less than 5 ms. Its integral arbitrary waveform generator (ARB) supports simultaneous loading of multiple, complex waveforms, including the advanced modularion formats used in modern wireless and wired communications systems. For more on the 2910, read the upcoming review in the May issue of Microwaves & RF, or visit the Keithley website at www.keithley.com..
