Monitoring System Checks Satcom Carriers

Morrow Technologies has launched a spectrum-analyzer-based carrier monitoring system that operates from 3 MHz to 1.8 GHz. It has a 40-MHz instantaneous bandwidth and is suitable for remotely monitoring satellite signals, including at L-band and at most intermediate frequencies (IFs). The model VC1800 Carrier Monitoring System conects remotely to a personal computer (PC) via 10/100 Ethernet bus, Firewire, RS-232 bus, and Universal Serial Bus (USB) connections. The 1U rack-mount unit features low displayed average noise level (DANL) and phase noise and frequency resolution of 1 Hz. It can display signals from -150 to +20 dBm with high accuracy. It is available with several internal reference options as well as numerous coaxial switch options for connecting multiple input signals.
