VXIbus Synthesizer Reaches 20 GHz

Model 114XB from Phase Matrix/EIP Microwave is a synthesized signal generator that fits into three VXI card slots. It operates from 0.001 to 20 GHz with 1-Hz frequency resolution. The output power can be adjusted over a range from -90 to +16 dBm with 0.1-dB resolution. The source features better than -85 dBc/Hz phase noise offset 10 kHz from a 10-GHz carrier, with spurious content of -60 dBc. The synthesizer includes frequency modulation, amplitude modulation, pulse modulation, and digital in-phase (I) and quadrature (Q) modulation at modulation bandwidths to 40 MHz.
