To eliminate the need for predefined custom lengths and bend configurations, minibend L replaces small, custom semi-rigid cable assemblies with standard flexible cables. Astrolab's minibend L is an enhanced, low-loss version of the company's minibend flexible coaxial-cable assembly. It is designed for use in low-profile, internal, point-to-point interconnections between RF modules within communications systems. The minibend L covers to 26.5 GHz. It boasts a microporous dielectric for lower insertion loss than 0.086-in.-diameter semi-rigid cable. At 1.0 GHz, the VSWR is 1.16:1 and the insertion loss is 0.18 dB. The VSWR is 1.37:1 at 18.0 GHz while the insertion loss is 0.62 dB. The minibend L vows to eliminate the need for costly right angle connectors. The assembly is triple shielded for high isolation and finished with precision stainless-steel SMA plug connectors.
