The HMC-C200 series of X-band dielectric resonator oscillators (DROs) from Hittite Microwave Corp. is available with custom tuning frequencies from 8.0 to 8.3 GHz and -124 dBc/Hz phase noise offset 10 kHz from the carrier. The oscillators, which are suitable for a wide range of applications in industrial, medical, military, and test and measurement markets, deliver +15 dBm output power. They feature an internal voltage regulator that provides excellent frequency pushing performance of 5 kHz/V. Designed for operating frequencies from -40 to +85C, the DROs suffer frequency drift of only 2 PPM/C. They can tune with analog tuning voltages of +5 to +12 VDC with as much as +/-1 MHz tuning around the center frequency. The DROs are supplied in a 1.5 x 1.5 in. module with field-replaceable SMA connectors.
