Herley Industries has earned a contract valued at approximately $1.5 million for the production of integrated microwave assemblies to be used in the US Navy's P-8A aircraft. Under the terms of the contract, Herley will supply integrated assemblies to a major US prime contractor for installation in the P-8A Poseidon, a long-range anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft capable of broad-area, maritime and littoral operations. Herley's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President, Richard F. Poirier, commented that "This is Herley's first production award for the P-8A program, following the successful completion of the development phase. We are pleased to be a part of this important US Navy program, and anticipate receiving follow-on contracts from this prime contractor on this program over the next 15 years."
