Dr. Isik Kizilyalli, Director of Technology at Nitronex, has been selected as a 2007 Fellow by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). Dr. Kizilyalli manages the process and device technology development department for Nitronex, a developer and manufacturer of high-performance gallium-nitride (GaN) power transistors for commercial and broadband wireless infrastructure markets. Dr. Kizilyalli is being honored for contributions in the field of integrated circuit (IC) technology. He notes that "becoming a Fellow is one of the highest accolades that can be bestowed upon an individual by the IEEE. I am honored to be invited by the IEEE Board of Directors to join this select group of engineers as a Fellow." Dr. Kizilyalli has authored or co-authored more than 60 technical papers and holds 39 U.S. patents in the areas of CMOS, BiCMOS, LDMOS, GaN HEMTS and InP-based optoelectronics. Prior to joining Nitronex, he was with AT&T Bell Laboratories and its spin offs Lucent Technologies and Agere Systems.
