Dr. Isik Kizilyalli, Director of Technology at Nitronex, has been selected as a 2007 Fellow by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). Dr. Kizilyalli manages the process and device technology development department for Nitronex, a developer and manufacturer of high-performance gallium-nitride (GaN) power transistors for commercial and broadband wireless infrastructure markets. Dr. Kizilyalli is being honored for contributions in the field of integrated circuit (IC) technology. He notes that "becoming a Fellow is one of the highest accolades that can be bestowed upon an individual by the IEEE. I am honored to be invited by the IEEE Board of Directors to join this select group of engineers as a Fellow." Dr. Kizilyalli has authored or co-authored more than 60 technical papers and holds 39 U.S. patents in the areas of CMOS, BiCMOS, LDMOS, GaN HEMTS and InP-based optoelectronics. Prior to joining Nitronex, he was with AT&T Bell Laboratories and its spin offs Lucent Technologies and Agere Systems. The Fellows Program was established to recognize and honor outstanding members for their significant accomplishments in the advancement or application of engineering, science, and technology and for their contributions to the IEEE.
