Bus Couplers Meet RoHS/REACH Requirements

July 29, 2019
A line of MIL-STD-1553B bus couplers meets RoHS and REACH requirements for challenging military and test systems.

A series of MIL-STD-1553B bus couplers compliant with RoHS (lead-free) and REACH requirements has been introduced for demanding R&D and military/aerospace applications. The box-style bus couplers feature TRS subminiature connectors as an alternative to standard TRB (bayonet-type) connectors. They are available with a wide range of stub options and provide a transformer ratio of 1.41:1 with stub resistor values of 59 Ω impedance, 2 W power, and 1% tolerance.

Developed by MilesTek, an Infinite Electronics brand, the bus coupler line includes models with options for one through eight stubs as well as models with single, double, or no bus jacks to meet a wide range of bus interconnection requirements. “As more of our military and government customers are requiring products that are RoHS compliant, we have been adding new products to address this need,” said Mark Hearn, product manager.
