Oscillators Are Steady With Temperature

Dec. 19, 2013
Temperature-compensated crystal oscillators are stable over wide environmental conditions.

The T52 series of temperature-compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs) is available with CMOS or clipped sine outputs. The sources are supplied in rugged 5 × 3 mm ceramic housings and operate on +3.3- or +5.0-VDC supplies. Drawing less than 6 mA for CMOS outputs and less than 3 mA for sine wave outputs, these oscillators are suitable for mobile and battery-powered applications. They offer temperature stability as good as ±0.1 ppm from -20 to +70°C with standard g-sensitivity of better than 2.5 × 10-9/g (which can be extended to better than 7 × 10-10/g with Option LG) and aging rate of better than 1.0 PPM/year. The oscillators are available rated to 50,000 g shock levels, vibration per MIL-STD-202G, Method 214, Condition I-F, and shock per MIL-STD-202G, Method 213, Condition D.
