LeCroy Corp.Has received a contract award to supply digital oscilloscopes to the Navy's Supply Systems Command. The contract has a best estimated quantity (BEQ) of up to 200 WaveRunner oscilloscopes per year for five years. LeCroy's WaveRunner 64Xi-A-N oscilloscopes passed stringent technical requirements as part of a competitive bid to qualify for Navy acceptance.

Anritsu CompanyVerizon Wireless has selected Anritsu's BTS Master handheld base station analyzer to test the Long Term Evolution (LTE) network being deployed by Verizon Wireless throughout the US. Verizon Wireless field engineers and technicians are using the BTS Master configured with its LTE test option to conduct RF and modulation quality measurements on LTE signals to help ensure successful installation of base stations in Boston, Seattle and other cities.

TiaLinx, Inc.Has received a Phase II award from the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency's (DARPA's) Microsystems Technology Office. The SBIR Phase II award includes delivery of an advanced V-band high-bandwidth communication link and a high-precision radar system. A primary capability of this system is its agnostic operability under deteriorated environmental conditions.

Harris Corp.Has received a $73-million order from the US Marine Corps for Falcon III AN/PRC-117G multiband manpack radios, accessory kits, remote controls, and satellite communication antennas. The Marines will deploy the AN/ PRC-117G to provide high-speed networked communications that improve information gathering and dissemination at the tactical edge. The AN/PRC-117G is the first NSA Type-1 certified wideband manpack radio system.

Electro Technik Industries, Inc.Has acquired Inductive Technologies LLC (I -Tech). I -Tech designs and manufactures all types of magnetic ranging from current-sensing transformers to common-mode chokes. They have been manufacturing a custom and a standard line of magnetics since 1998, when the firm was founded from an acquisition of the Magnetics Division of C&K Components.

Skyworks Solutions, Inc.Has released its 2009 Sustainability Report. Since 2005, the initial reporting year, Skyworks has improved energy efficiency by 26 percent, water efficiency by 44 percent, and hazardous waste efficiency by 84 percent. Carbon-dioxide emissions per production unit have decreased by 10 percent from 2005 levels. In 2009, more than 99 percent of Skyworks products sold were environmentally preferred or products that met lead (Pb)-free and RoHS standards. In addition, the company's sustainability programs continue to be aligned with the multiple requirements of the Electronics Industry Code of Conduct (EICC).

Heilind ElectronicsHas added Winchester Electronics to its line card of manufacturers. Winchester designs and manufactures a variety of PCB, RF, and power connectors as well as value-added cable and electromechanical assemblies for the telecommunications, wireless infrastructure, computer, industrial, and medical equipment markets.

California Eastern Laboratories (CEL)Congratulates NEC Electronics on the completion of its merger with Renesas Technology Corp. The new entity, Renesas Electronics Corp., continues its 50-year partnership with CEL. The supply of CEL products that come from NEC Electronics, which includes RF switches, power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, optocouplers, solid-state relays, lasers, and detectors, will continue without interruption.

AMTIThe Bureau Veritas certification was confirmed after a complete on-site surveillance audit. AMTI updated its ISO/TS 16949 registration to the revised 2009 standards. The ISO/ TS 16949 certification includes additional benchmarks that are over and above what is required by ISO9001:2008. New targets were achieved in Advanced Product Quality Planning and Control Plan, Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Production Part Approval Process, Measurement Systems Analysis and Statistical Process Control.

International RectifierHas opened a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in San Jose, CA, dedicated to the design and manufacture of high-reliability products for space, aerospace, military, and heavy-duty industrial applications. The 35,000-sq.-ft. site is DSCC-certified Class H and Class K and AS9100, ISO9001 qualified to design and manufacture ruggedized hybrid DC-DC converters for customers of IR's HiRel Business Unit.
