Microchip Technology is now offering Integration Associates' EZLink(TM) Development Kit (Microchip part No. TDKEZ915) for $240 on its e-commerce website at www.microchipdirect.com. The kit is designed to augment Microchip's wireless devices and provide a fast and easy path to development of RF modems operating at frequencies below 1 GHz. The EZLink radio module contains an onboard PIC18F2520 8-b flash microcontroller and Integration Associate's IA4421 EZRadio(R) transceiver. Model IA4421 is a multichannel frequency-shift-keying (FSK) transceiver designed for use at 434, 868, and 915 MHz. It requires only one external component, a crystal.
According to Steve Caldwell, Director of Microchip's RF Products Division, "Microchip is expanding the reach of customers' wireless designs by offering Integration's EZLink Development Kit. The EZLink Development Kit provides our PIC(R) microcontroller customers with an easy-to-use sub-GHz ISM RF modem development environment." Ferenc Mernyei, Integration's Application Support Director, adds "Integration is proud to partner with Microchip to meet the market need for generating fast RF prototypes."
