MPM Drives 8 kW From 9.5 To 10.0 GHz

The PTX7464 microwave power module (MPM) from TMD Technologies Ltd. is a high-power amplifier for pulsed radar applications from 9.5 to 10.0 GHz. Based on a grid traveling-wave tube (TWT) with conduction cooling, the MPM provides 54 dB gain and 8000 W output power when working with 20-s pulses at a duty cycle of 2 percent. Measuring 340 x 180 x 66 mm and weighing 7 kg, it runs on +270 VDC prime power.
