Aeroflex has announced an Auto-Test II test function for the Aeroflex 3920 Digital Radio Test Set that supports test functions detailed in the EIA/TIA-603 standard for testing any FM Land Mobile Radio. The added capability makes it possible to program as many as 30 channels to quickly verify critical transmitter and receiver performance parameters. Transmitter tests include frequency, power, FM hum and noise, audio distortion, audio frequency response, microphone sensitivity, modulation limiting and CTCSS. Receiver tests include sensitivity (SINAD), audio distortion, audio sensitivity, hum and noise, audio frequency response, displacement bandwidth, audio squelch sensitivity, and audio squelch blocking. Results are saved and can be printed directly from the 3920 to any printer.
