Simulator Supports Large Antenna Arrays

The 2010 release of the AXIEM three-dimensional (3D) planar electromagnetic (EM) simulation software from AWR improves on its capabilities in designing RF and microwave antennas, tackling large, planar, antenna designs such as arrays with many elements. The new software release includes generous post-processing features, such as antenna patterns for linear, circular, and elliptical polarizations, as well as a greater number of measurements, such as gain, and current visualization/animations. Based on proprietary full-wave planar EM solver technology with advanced hybrid meshing that mixes triangles and rectangles, AXIEM seamlessly integrates with the firm's Microwave Office and Analog Office design software suites.
