The model CVCO55CC-3901-4101 voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) from Crystek Corp. is suitable for use in applications such as digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems, and base stations. It tunes from 3901 to 4101 MHz by means of a voltage control range of approximately 0.1 to 16.0 V. It has typical phase noise of -104 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier with +5 dBm typical output power and -20 dBc typical second harmonics. The VCO, which draws maximum current of 40 mA at +8 VDC, is housed in a 0.5 x 0.5 in. surface-mount package.
