Never failing to disappoint at that annual European gathering of microwave companies and engineers, European Microwave Week 2012 (EuMW 2012), Analog Devices will be unveiling a high-performance fractional-N frequency synthesizer capable of bandwidth to 13 GHz. The firm will be at Booth No. 221 for this year’s edition of the event—taking place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands from Oct. 28 through Nov. 2—offering attendees a close look at the new model ADF4159.
The fractional-N synthesizer integrated circuit (IC) contains a 25-b fixed modulus, low-noise digital phase-frequency detector, precision charge pump, and programmable reference divider. It is but one example of a product portfolio boasting more than 1000 RF/microwave integrated circuits (ICs). The frequency synthesizer IC supports bandwidths to 13 GHz with sub-Hertz frequency resolution and microsecond switching speed. It consumes less than 100 mW power and is ideal for radar, communications systems, and test gear. For more on EuMW 2012, click here.
