National Instruments announced seven new signal generators for applications from DC to microwave frequencies at the recent CTIA Wireless show. The generators, offered in a single 3U PXI slot footprint, are based on direct-digital-synthesis (DDS) technology for frequency agility and high resolution. Models include the 6.6-GHz model PXI-5652, the 3.3-GHz model PXI-5651, and the 1.3-GHz model PXI-5650. The signal-generator line also includes a pair of function generators with 20- and 40-MHz instantaneous bandwidths for generating complex modulation waveforms.
