Report Cites Win And TriQuint Foundry Gains

The latest market study from Strategy Analytics, "Squeezing Out the Competition; TriQuint Semiconductor and Win Semiconductors Extend GaAs Foundry Leadership," reports that TriQuint Semiconductor and Win Semiconductors are still gaining share of the GaAs foundry market. The two firms combined to grow their GaAs foundry market percentages from 67 percent in 2007 to 77 percent in 2008. TriQuint maintained the top spot in 2008, with business in US defense and aerospace markets as well as in commercial opportunities, with Win Semiconductors gaining ground on TriQuint, with only one percentage point separating the two leaders.
