Raytheon Chooses CAES for Missile Data System

July 30, 2024
Experience in tactical common data links (TCDLs) earned CAES a major contract for an international missile system data link from RTX.

In support of a major international missile program, Raytheon Technologies (RTX) awarded CAES a multiple-year contract worth $172.7 million. The contract covers the next three lots of follow-on production for a missile data-link system from CAES, a provider of mission-critical advanced electronics for aerospace and defense systems, in particular for electronic-warfare (EW) systems.

CAES is a critical subsystem provider for many missiles and munitions platforms. The company's support is backed by a broad range of advanced electronic capabilities, including antennas, flight termination receivers, telemetry assemblies, preselector filters, RF processors, frequency and data converters, RF heads and front-end assemblies, receivers, and data links.

Partnering with customers, CAES designs and manufactures complex RF/microwave and millimeter-wave solutions according to specialized EW, radar, and other mission-critical needs (see image above). Aided by fast development times from prototype to production, CAES works closely with customers to provide many solutions in carefully customized form to meet specific electrical, mechanical, and thermal requirements.
