Touchless Display Solution Employs High-Sensitivity Capacitive-Sensing Technology
Alps Alpine recently launched the AirInput panel-control solution, supporting both touchless and touch input based on high-sensitivity capacitive-sensing technology. An AirInput Panel addresses issues such as input obstructed by wet, dirty, or oily hands, making use of the space directly in front of the panel for no-touch operation. In addition to X-Y coordinates, the panel can output a count value for proximity along the Z axis. In combination with a user interface that continuously conveys the position of a detected finger, the panel enables intuitive control in mid-air operation.
There's an option for those who wish to convert existing applications designed for touch operation into touchless applications. AirInput Panel dedicated control software for Windows allows customers to omit the software development process and utilize existing input screens in a touchless setup. Users can adjust interface settings, colors, sizes, and other parameters to achieve the desired operating feel and touchless operation scenario.
