Energy Balance Calculator Optimizes Battery Usage

Nexperia released the Energy Balance Calculator, a web-based tool designed to assist battery-management engineers in maximizing the battery life of their applications. Facilitating the integration of Nexperia’s Energy Harvesting PMICs into systems, at the core of Nexperia's Energy Harvesting PMICs is the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm, enabling efficient energy harvesting from the environment. Helping PMICs operate at their full potential, the calculator works with real-world technical parameters to calculate the energy delivered to the load and the energy compensation. By offering insights into potential battery life extension or achieving energy autonomy, the tool can help visualize system efficiency and precision.

An Army veteran, Alix Paultre was a signals intelligence soldier on the East/West German border in the early ‘80s, and eventually wound up helping launch and run a publication on consumer electronics for the U.S. military stationed in Europe. Alix first began in this industry in 1998 at Electronic Products magazine, and since then has worked for a variety of publications, most recently as Editor-in-Chief of Power Systems Design.
