Here's this week's selection of some of the most interesting new products that have been launched of late.

With Point One’s new tagging system, customers can work with P1’s API as if it were one of their own native applications.

Tagging Solution Simplifies Fleet-Level Positioning

Point One Navigation updated its precise positioning Polaris network to better serve the deployment and management of fleets of drones, rovers, or other satellite-enabled systems in the field. With Point One’s new tagging system, customers can work with P1’s API as if it were one of their own native applications, and attach their own data to P1’s devices. They can query things with their native IDs, model numbers, regions, and over data, as a drop-in capability in existing systems.

There are no pull->store->join steps, enabling real-time operations with the GraphQL subscriptions API, which isn't possible with legacy systems. Features include a device search UI in the web app to filter and query devices by tags, connection status, or attributes, as well as the ability to quickly pull up all active devices and display them on a map in real-time.

An Army veteran, Alix Paultre was a signals intelligence soldier on the East/West German border in the early ‘80s, and eventually wound up helping launch and run a publication on consumer electronics for the U.S. military stationed in Europe. Alix first began in this industry in 1998 at Electronic Products magazine, and since then has worked for a variety of publications, most recently as Editor-in-Chief of Power Systems Design.

Alix currently lives in Wiesbaden, Germany.
