Field-Configurable NEMA 3R Enclosures Offer Circuit-Breaker Options
Transtector expanded its line of SC-2MMA9 outdoor AC load centers for small-cell sites with an enhanced integrated panel design. The panels can connect directly to a utility service for tailored circuit-breaker configurations to address typical small-cell equipment deployments. Features include integrated surge protection and options to equip a GFCI convenience outlet as well as a shunt-trip-style main breaker for external de-energization of AC power.
Offering enough power capacity to operate all types of small-cell architectures, including multi-tenant (co-location) sites, all of the new AC load centers have a 100-A, two-pole main breaker for 120/240-V AC split-phase services. These panels are also available with a high-current branch breaker up to 60-A, two-pole for sub-panel or right-of-way deployment. UL67 listed and service entrance rated, they are suitable for use as service equipment, eliminating the need for a separate upstream disconnect box.
Circuit-breaker configurations are customizable by using up to 14 one-pole or up to seven two-pole load breakers, and five base models are available, with a variety of combinations with 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, or 60-A load or branch breakers with one or two poles. Additional features include surge protection to safeguard against lightning and utility switching transients, and all of the new AC load centers carry a NEMA 3R environmental protection rating.
