Model DAC38J84 is a 16-b digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that supports in excess of 2 GHz of information bandwidth with a sampling rate of 2.5 GSamples/s. The four-channel data converter supports the JEDEC JESD204B serial interface standard for data converters to 12.5 Gb/s. It provides two independent transmit paths with as much as 1 GHz of complex information bandwidth each. Ideal for use with wideband power amplifiers, millimeter-wave communications backhaul systems, radar systems, and test equipment, the quad DAC consumes only 1100 mW power at 1.474 GSamples/s and 1612 mW at 2.458 GSamples/s. Samples of the quad DAC are available in 10 × 10 mm BGA packages. A high-speed two-channel DAC (model DAC37J82) is also available.
