TCXO Holds Frequency With Temperature And Time

June 3, 2014
A TCXO offers outstanding stability with vibration and temperature for demanding applications.

Oscillators are yet another key active component in many high-frequency systems. Designers in need of stable sources can find a host of examples on display at the 2014 IMS at Booth No. 1305, at Vectron International. As an example, model TX-707 is a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) that remains stable with temperature, time, shock, and vibration. It is available at standard frequencies such as 10 and 20 MHz, the clock oscillator features temperature stability of ±1 ppm over the industrial temperature range of -40 to +85°C. Ideal for use in harsh environments, the TCXO achieves low gravitational (g) sensitivity of 0.2 ppb/g in a compact 5 × 7 mm package. It is one of many crystal oscillators on display and designed for use under demanding conditions.
