Diplexers Tackle Band-Switching Needs

June 17, 2013
Low-profile diplexers are usable in cellular communications applications at power levels to 4.5 W.

A line of low-profile 0603 MLO™ diplexer components from AVX Corp. (including part No. DP03B5425TTR) have been developed with low-loss, high-dielectric-constant materials for band switching in dual- and multiband applications—among them, wireless-local-area-network (WLAN), Global-Positioning-System (GPS), and cellular-communications bands. The miniature diplexers, which measure just 1.65 x 0.88 x 0.42 mm (0.065 x 0.035 x 0.017 in.), are available with a variety of finishes, including nickel gold (Ni Au) and nickel tin (Ni Sn), all compatible with automatic soldering technologies. The finished diplexers are visually inspected and 100% tested for electrical parameters and supplied in tape-and-reel format. The diplexers are designed for use at temperatures from -40 to +85°C and can handle power levels to 4.5 W.
