RJ45 Connectors Handle Harsh Conditions

Oct. 10, 2013
These rugged RJ45 connectors assemblies are designed to withstand harsh environments, such as at sea and in the desert.

RJ45 panel-mount receptacles can suffer high stress in certain applications, including stresses due to mechanical and thermal causes. To provide reliable performance under severe conditions, CONEC (www.conec.com) has developed a versatile RJ45 connector system with Cat 5e and Cat 6A performance levels to withstand use in such environments as systems at desert and at sea. The connector system features a bayonet locking mechanism made with nickel-plated die-cast zinc structure. The connectors are available in Cat. 5e shielded and unshielded versions and Cat. 6A shielded versions, and are RoHS and REACH compliant.
