Capacitor Arrays Fit Mil Needs

Sept. 13, 2013
A line of low-inductance capacitor arrays is ideal for decoupling critical ICs in military systems.

The LICA® series of decoupling capacitor arrays exhibit less than 30 pH inductance and are tested to MIL-PRF-123 requirements, making them excellent candidates for high-reliability military and aerospace circuit applications. For example, the decoupling capacitors are suitable for use with integrated circuits (ICs), such as field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), with low operating voltages. The decoupling capacitor arrays are rated for extremely low equivalent series inductance (ESL) of less than 30 pH. The arrays also feature C4 solder ball terminations, which enable minimal interconnect inductance and are the perfect complement to flip-chip packaging technology. They measure 1.95 x 1.60 mm, with height options of 0.65, 0.875, 1.10, and 1.60 mm. The arrays are rated for 25 V and have an operating temperature range of  -55 to +125°C.
