Connectors Link Low-PIM Cables

April 28, 2014
Cable/connector assemblies offer excellent PIM performance through 6 GHz.

Suitable for in-building applications requiring low passive-intermodulation (PIM) levels, the new 4.1/9.5 mini-DIN straight male connector model TC-SPP250-4195M-LP is available for termination of the low-loss SPP-250-LLPL 50-Ω cables from Times Microwave Systems. These cables, which support in-building applications and interconnections to 6 GHz, feature a 0.25-in. superflexible-type corrugated cable with low-density polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) dielectric and fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) jacket that meets UL910 requirements for plenum applications. The cable assembles offer PIM performance of better than -155 dBm.
