Lockheed Martin Recognizes Efforts of Trust Automation

Lockheed Martin RMS recently recognized the contributions of one of its outstanding smaller suppliers, Trust Automation, for its expertise in custom military actuators, actuation systems, custom motors, controls, and motor systems.

Major defense contractors often rely on numerous, much-smaller suppliers to complete system designs, and Lockheed Martin is no different. In fact, the firm’s Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) group draws upon the talents of more than 10,000 smaller companies, although it recently chose to single out a much smaller number of them. For more than 20 years, Lockheed Martin has celebrated the contributions of small business suppliers that provide outstanding goods, services, and support by means of a public awards ceremony.

“Today, we’re celebrating the outstanding goods and services our suppliers provide to Lockheed Martin,” said Phil Goslin, vice president of global supply chain (GSC) at Lockheed Martin RMS. “By partnering with a diverse base of these quality suppliers, we are better able to develop innovative solutions to the critical challenges of our customers.”

One of those small suppliers is Trust Automation, and its CEO, Ty Safreno, acknowledged his firm’s appreciation for this latest recognition. “We’re very proud of the work Trust Automation has performed for Lockheed Martin over the years, and we could not be more pleased about this latest recognition from Lockheed’s Rotary and Mission Systems,” said Safreno. “We firmly believe that small, advanced-technology businesses like Trust will continue to play a strong supporting role in Lockheed’s success.”

Trust Automation is an ISO 9001:2008 certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) with more than 25 years of experience in custom military actuators, actuation systems, custom motors, controls, and motor systems, along with extensive success with DARPA, IARPA, and DoD contracts.
