The industry trade group supporting the LXI LAN-based instrumentation standard, the LXI Consortium, has reported that annual sales of LXI-equipped test and measurement equipment now exceeds $200 million (USD). Reporting at the recent AUTOTESTCON show, the LXI Consortium membership includes such companies as Agilent Technologies, Keithley Instruments, Pickering Interfaces, Rohde & Schwarz, and VXI Technology. According to Bob Rennard, LXI Consortium president, the number marks a huge achievement for the now two-year-old standard: "The LXI Consortium is justifiably proud of the success this new standard is enjoying. To achieve this in two years is in vivid contrast to other instrumentation protocols that have taken many years to achieve the same level."
