The VectorStar ME7838 Broadband series system from Anritsu offers high performance in a compact millimeter-wave module for calibration stability and positive raw directivity in all bands.

Watch the Engineering TV video above for a demonstration of the VectorStar system with Steve Reyes from Anritsu.

The VectorStar ME7838 Broadband series system from Anritsu offers high performance in a compact millimeter-wave module for calibration stability and positive raw directivity in all bands. The vector network analyzer (VNA) offers a frequency sweep from 70 kHz to 145 GHz with enhancements to 1.1 THz. All of the systems in the series include an RF VNA architecture that uses bridges instead of couplers in order to extend the frequency range. All versions also support the 3744x-Rx receiver for noise figure measurements up to 125 GHz.

With the addition of the MA25300A module and conjunction with a 0.8mm coaxial connector, the VNA operates beyond the limits of W band frequencies in a single sweep. The modules are compact and lightweight, offering low-cost installation on smaller probe stations. At IMS 2014, Steve Reyes from Anritsu showed off the system and its ability to be tested without waveguides or switching components to Microwaves & RF Technical Editor Jean-Jacques DeLisle. Also be sure to check out other videos from IMS 2014 over at Engineering TV.
