Component Testing from Design to Characterization to Production

The technology for RF and microwave component testing has expanded to the extent that one can now have complete knowledge of a design from characterization to production. Rohde & Schwarz will show numerous solutions to optimize performance and guarantee the quality of the final RF and microwave components. This includes a setup for simple and accurate noise figure and gain measurements up to 110 GHz, featuring the new R&S FS-SNS110 smart noise source in combination with the R&S FSVA3000 signal and spectrum analyzer.

European Microwave Week (EuMW 2023) comes to Berlin to bring together the RF community to learn and network. The 26th edition of an annual series of events that began in 1998, EuMW 2023 brings together The European Microwave Conference (EuMC), The European Microwave Integrated Circuits Conference (EuMIC), and The European Radar Conference (EuRAD).

EuMW 2023 also includes a Forum on Defence, Security and Space, an Automotive Forum, a 5G to 6G Forum, and an extensive trade show. Furthermore, it offers the opportunity to participate in conferences, workshops, short courses, and special events such as Women in Microwave Engineering.

The annual European Microwave Exhibition, the largest RF and microwave trade show in Europe, is held in conjunction with the conferences, and ncludes a series of technical seminars and exhibitor workshops describing commercial products and processes. Held at hub27 at Messe Berlin, the slogan for EuMW 2023 is “Waves Beyond Walls,” highlighting how science can help tear down walls. An Army veteran, Alix Paultre was a signals intelligence soldier on the East/West German border in the early ‘80s, and eventually wound up helping launch and run a publication on consumer electronics for the U.S. military stationed in Europe. Alix first began in this industry in 1998 at Electronic Products magazine, and since then has worked for a variety of publications, most recently as Editor-in-Chief of Power Systems Design.

Alix currently lives in Wiesbaden, Germany.
