Data security specialists DataBahn.ai announced the launch of its Smart Agent solution for secure data pipelining and management. Powered by artificial intelligence (AI), the data-channeling agent helps collect, process, and route telemetry data across observation and security teams while helping trim the costs, risks, and complexity of managing data security and distribution.

The flexible deployment model makes it possible to install a lightweight endpoint agent on key systems or employ agentless collection from environments where agents may be impractical. Smart Agent can also be used in a hybrid configuration for centralized data collection with minimum setup complexity.

Smart Agent (see image above) supports selective log collection, high-performance environments, and integration with a wide range of downstream tools. Concerning Smart Agent, chief product officer at DataBahn, Aditya Sundararam, explained, “Smart Agent reimagines data collection by combining the best of agent-based and agentless approaches into a single, flexible footprint. It delivers real-time telemetry control, simplifies deployment, and empowers security and observability teams with faster insights, fewer blind spots, and seamless cross-team collaboration.”

Regarding Smart Agent’s security contributions, Sundararam added: “While others market 'unified agents' that tie you to a single stack, we built ours to work across the diverse, multi-platform ecosystems that real-world teams operate in. It's about giving customers the flexibility, control, and the future readiness that they actually need.”

The agent provides unified telemetry collection for multiple teams and tools as well as configurable data routing in support of both security and observability pipelines.
