Enabling energy harvesting for sustainable, battery-free IoT and industrial applications, Dracula Technologies' LAYER technology now brings up to 15% higher power efficiency as well as aesthetic improvements. This enables better integration of smaller organic photovoltaic (OPV) modules with the same electrical performance, or greater power output, at the same size as legacy solutions. An aesthetic coating also enhances the OPV module’s appearance, allowing seamless integration into various product designs.

As society and business look to reduce the need for batteries, the demand for efficient, sustainable, and maintenance-free power is growing. especially in IoT, smart labels, and industrial automation. The latest iteration of the company's LAYER technology improves energy-harvesting efficiency, allowing for the generation of power even under low-light conditions of less than 100 lux.

The LAYER enhancement replaced the original copper busbars with screen-printed silver, with precise control of the line width down to 1 mm. This increases the active area, enhancing power generation by up to 15%. The end result is a durable and stable module.
