OTA Test Solutions Eye Next-Gen Wireless Tech

Dec. 4, 2024
Rohde & Schwarz and ETS-Lindgren offer over-the-air testing solutions for next-generation wireless devices.

Rohde & Schwarz and ETS-Lindgren address over-the-air (OTA) testing solutions for next-generation wireless technologies, integrating the CMX500 one box signaling tester and R&S SMBV100B vector signal generator with EMQuest software to support the latest standards. These include 5G FR1, 5G FR2, Wi-Fi 7 and A-GNSS.

The R&S CMX500 offers a range of device-testing capabilities, supporting technologies such as 4G LTE, 5G NR FR1 and FR2, the latest 5G RedCap, and Wi-Fi up to the latest standard. The R&S SMBV100B vector signal generator incorporates a GNSS constellation simulator with ultra-high output power and calibrated wideband signal generation. In combination with the CMX500, it can run realistic and repeatable A-GNSS tests under controlled conditions.

The combination of the Rohde & Schwarz instruments with ETS-Lindgren’s anechoic chambers and EMQuest software provides a powerful solution that can keep pace with the latest advances in wireless technology. It's CTIA certified for 4G and 5G FR1 and supports both SISO and MIMO.

With carrier aggregation across hundreds of channels and bands, these integrated solutions serve 4G and 5G carrier combinations, as well as Wi-Fi up to version 7, Bluetooth, Narrowband NTN, and RedCap.
