IoT Gateway Built for Industrial Applications

Feb. 24, 2025
Offering powerful computing capabilities, extensive connectivity options, and flexible expansion features, the UNO-247 V2 supports businesses implementing industrial IoT infrastructures.

Advantech recently launched the UNO-247 V2 industrial IoT gateway as part of its UNO-200 IoT automation gateway series. Leveraging the Intel N97 processor, the UNO-247 V2 enables remote control, decision-making, and connectivity at the edge of industrial networks.

Acting as intermediary between sensors, actuators, and cloud systems, the gateway offers robust performance in latency-sensitive environments. Reducing the reliance on centralized data processing, the UNO-247 V2 enhances industrial protocol integration, system reliability, and bandwidth usage, while opening the door to advanced functionalities such as predictive maintenance and enhanced cybersecurity.

Comprehensive I/O capabilities include four Gigabit Ethernet ports, six COM ports (two RS-232/422/485 and four RS-485), four USB ports, and dual HDMI and VGA display outputs. Driven by the Intel N97 processor at frequencies up to 3.6 GHz, the UNO-247 V2 provides computing performance in edge applications, offering over a 160% performance improvement over its predecessor. Supporting up to 16 GB of DDR5 memory, the gateway also offers flexible storage options including mSATA and 2.5-in. SATA drives for efficient data processing and storage at the edge.

With a design that prioritizes flexibility and ease of maintenance, the UNO-247 V2 integrates a terminal block that provides secure wiring capabilities, while its optimized mechanical design allows for easy RAM access through the bottom plate. The gateway also features a reserved iDoor bracket for future expansion options, and its adaptable design ensures the UNO-247 V2 meets dynamic industrial needs while maintaining operational continuity.
